Obverse: EDWR' ANGL' DNS hYB; Crowned bust facing forwards with a trifoliate crown and wedged drapery Reverse: CIVI/TAS/LIN/COL'; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant The coin has a diameter of 15.3mm, 0.6mm thick and 0.64g. A medieval silver coin: a penny of Edward I (1272 - 1307), Canterbury mint, probably class 10cf3. It is 18mm in diameter and 0.8mm thick. It weighs 1.4gm. The moneyer has made an error on the reverse and the letters TOR were originally TAS and have had to be re-cut. Also, the B on the obverse collides with the initial mark.
