A cast copper alloy anthropomorphic sword pommel and guard dating from the Iron Age, about 300 BC - AD 100. The blade and grip are missing. The two parts were found about 3 metres apart. The pommel is cruciform in shape with a circular section shaft and arms. The arms are short and angled slightly upward, with dome shaped terminals. The terminals are plain apart from an incised line round the base. The dome part is larger in diameter than the arm. A cast lead spindle whorl of probable Early Medieval to Medieval date, about AD 700 - 1100. It is probably of Walton Rogers form A2 with flat faces of different sizes and rounded sides (but it could possibly be form A1). The sides and flat face are covered with small irregular indentations, but these do to appear to be intentional decoration. It is 20.6mm in diameter and 10mm thick, with a central circular perforation 5.7mm in diameter. It weighs 16.1g. It has a well developed white patina. A cast copper alloy annular ring of worn, rounded rectangular section, probably a harness fitting dating from the Medieval or Post Medieval period, about AD 1100 - 1800. The outer edge is particularly worn in one area. The ring has a dark grey and green patina. A Medieval copper alloy harness mount; a harness pendant suspension mount from an elaborate set dating from AD 1200 - 1400. It is a pair of rectangular loops, joined by an oval linking part with a circular hole through it. This perforation would have accommodated a rotating stem that held a banner or pendant at its outer end. The mount has a partial grey green patina. A copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating from AD 75 - 175. The lower bow and foot are missing. It has a large integral loop on the back of the head to hold the pin mechanism which is missing. The trumpet head is decorated with enamel. A late medieval to post medieval copper alloy suspension loop from a purse, dating from about AD 1450 - 1550. It consists of a rectangular suspension loop with a moulded eight faceted globular collar below. The shank or interal rivet, which would have originally passed through the purse bar, extends below. The purse loop is 32.4mm long, 20.5mm wide and 9.1mm thick. 10.35g. It has a dark brown patina. Compare NMS-821725 which cites Ward-Perkins (1940) Type B4, and SWYOR-A43428, classified as Ward-Perkins Type B5.

A copper alloy Medieval object, possibly a book fitting dating from AD 1200 - 1500. The object is a rectangular plate, almost square, which has a large and worn loop, in the same plane as the plate, projecting from one end. At the other end, two lugs project, one at each side, perforated to support an axis bar which is now missing. This bar could have been half of a hinged fitting, or could have been for suspension, as in a chatelaine. A medieval copper-alloy English jetton, probably an unofficial issue. King's sterling bust type, with a crowned forward facing bust (crudely depicted) on he obverse, with a border of val pellets, and a long cross pattee with three pellets in each angle on the reverse, again, a border of oval pellets. The jetton is 19.4mm diameter, 0.9mm thick and 1.19g. Compare BUC-B3689E which cites Mernick reference 6a.17.14, dating from about AD 1280-1340, and Mitchiner (1988, 106) no. 165. A copper alloy Medieval probable stirrup dating from AD 1200 - 1400. Only a fragment survives, part of the suspension loop and part of the side. Two bars of rectangular section extend across the top of the stirrup, forming a recatngular slot between them. They extend from the side pieces which is of circular section. A decorated lead spindle whorl, probably of Medieval to Post Medieval date, about AD 1100 - 1600. It is flattened bi-conical in form, with a wide median band (Walton Rogers Form C). Both faces are decorated with cast designs in the form of ribs making triangle shapes and raised pellets. The central aperture is sub-circular and has a diameter of 10.2mm. Walton Rogers (in the Flixborough volume and York Fasicules) suggests that biconical whorls date from AD 1100 onwards and cites Ivens et al (1995) that those with dots are Post Medieval. It is 26.3mm diameter, 11.3mm thick and 27.08g.

An incomplete lead alloy button, probably of late Medieval dating (about AD 1300 - 1500) and with evidence of repair. The head of the button is circular, and slightly domed, with a flat back. The front has a central cross design in relief, created by four chevron shaped recesses. A complete four-part lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date, dated AD 1660. It is formed from four flattened discs joined at the middle by a short rectangular connecting strip.
