An incomplete cast copper alloy strap distributor / link for a horse harness fitting of later Early Medieval date. The fitting has a flat back and rounded front, it had two loops for straps, connected via a rectangular bar to either side of a barrel shaped central boss. There is a thin groove either side of the boss. The object is missing most of both loops due to ancient breaks. The central boss has a hollowed rear, and the side bars a central groove. The fitting had a green patina over the brown metal. The remains are 44mm long, 12mm wide and 10mm deep, it weighs 14.4g

An incomplete copper alloy later early medieval pin. The head is a globular with a small collar directly below. The head is decorated with diagonal grooves that are only clear on the lower half. The shaft is circular in cross-section and is nearly complete, with only the tip recently lost. The shaft has been bent twice, firstly at 90 degrees, and then again a further 45 degrees. Diameter of head 7.63mm. Maximum diameter of shaft 4.12mm. Bent length 52mm, if straightened about 100mm. Weight 7.7 grams. A similar pin has been recorded from Icklingham, Suffolk (SF-EBC150) …

A fragment from a cast copper alloy fitting, probably from a later Early-Medieval / Anglo-Scandinavian harness, either a bit link or cheek piece. The fragment consists of an oval loop with a bar attached to one side. The loop is a quarter circle in cross section, with the rounded edge from the front to the outer edge. The bar is 'D' shaped in cross section with a rounded face and a flat rear. The bar bulges outwards slightly to form a boss at the end furthest from the loop. An incomplete cast copper alloy ball-headed pin head of probable mid - late Early Medieval date c. 700-1000 AD. The pin head is incomplete. The head is spherical with four rounded knops projecting from the sides and a slightly larger top knop. The shaft / shank is broken and incomplete, at the junction between head and shank is a raised slight collar. The shank then tapers and expands along its length until a broken and abraded edge.
