An incomplete copper alloy ring pipe tamper, of Post Medieval dating (c. AD 1650 to c. AD 1800). The pipe tamper has a roughly oval bezel that was probably originally engraved as a seal matrix or signet.On the opposite side of the ring to the bezel is a collared projection from which the screw on tamper and lower section of the reamer are missing.
