An incomplete copper alloy clasp strap plate of the Medieval period, dating from c. AD 1350 - c. AD 1400. Around 50% of the plate is present, consisting of the top plate. The rest is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The strap plate consists of a piece of sheet copper alloy metal folded around the strap bar. The edges have been recessed for the frame. The body of the object is broadly rectangular. The edges are curvilinear, with rounded corners. Decoration is in the form of a pelleted border round the edge of the clasp.
