A complete copper alloy strap fitting of uncertain dating but probably Post Medieval (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The strap fitting is rectangular in shape. It has been made from a folded piece of copper alloy metal, then bent in half to form a loop shape and secured at the top with a copper alloy rivet. The rivet head has a diameter of 10.1 mm and the shank has a diameter of 6.6 mm. The sheet copper alloy metal has a thickness of 0.6 mm. No decoration is present on either side. A flat plate projects at a right-angle from the angle, terminating in a split break where the edges of a circular attachment hole is visible. This hole has an internal diameter of 2.8 mm.
