An incomplete cast copper alloy enameled circular disc brooch, of Late Roman dating (c. 200 to c. 350 AD). The brooch is approximately 75% complete, with the pin, some enamel and part of the edge missing. The front of the brooch has been separated into three separate areas: a central circle, with two circular recessed borders. The areas are delimited by a raised flattened ridge. Fragment from the foot of a copper alloy cruciform brooch. The lower section of the object is in the form of an animal's head with half-round nostrils at its distal end above which are two lateral projections representing the brow. A small projection between the nostrils may represent the remains of a loop for a spangle. The upper part of the foot has faceted sides and some, incised, transverse mouldings. An incomplete copper alloy, probable trumpet brooch, of Roman dating (AD 75 to AD 175). Around 25% of the brooch is present, consisting of the foot knop only. The rest of the brooch is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The foot knop consists of an arcanthus style moulding with a central horizontal collar, with three regularly spaced rectangular knops above and below.
