The probable weight has been made from a long piece of square sectioned lead, wrapped in coil back onto itself to form a circular object. Both ends of the piece of lead taper to a blunt point. Three grooves are present on the upper surface. The object measures 26.2 mm in diameter and is 6.5 mm thick. It weighs 30.6 grams or 10.8 ozs. The object has a mid-brown colour with an uneven corroded and abraded patina that covers all surfaces.

A complete copper alloy trade weight of Post Medieval dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). The weight is circular in plan. The obverse has a raised ring around the edge as a border. A stamped mark is present but is it is unclear what design it is. The base of the weight is undecorated apart from a concave depression in the centre. It has a diameter of 21.7 mm and is 6.5 mm thick. It weighs 12.8 g (0.45 oz). Several similar trade weights have been recorded on the PAS database, including: WMID-0EA67A, WMID-12D771 and SUR-82D25D.
