A complete copper alloy single looped D shaped buckle frame, of medieval dating (c.1350 to 1450 AD). The buckle frame is broadly D shaped in plan, with a broad D shape cross section. At the centre of the frame, a single angular pointed projection with a U shaped notch as pin rest is present. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The central bar has been recessed for the plate (now missing). The buckle is a mid green colour with an even but slightly abraded patina covering all surfaces.
