The remnants of the casting sprues are still present to either side of the coin and have not been completely filed away. Both the obverse and reverse exhibit embossed (raised) designs. The bag seal is sub circular in shape and consists of two circular discs of lead alloy metal pressed together to secure the string. One side bears the incomplete legend: SWAIN[SE]EDS BRISTOL in two rows of lettering. The other side has a double triangle in relief. Both terminals are complete and consists of a circular end, with two semi circular voids, with the straight edges facing each other.
