An incomplete lead alloy possible model for a trumpet style brooch, dating from 75 to 175 AD. Around 25% of the possible model is present, consisting of the head. The head is conical and tapers to a point. The base is recessed with a depression at the centre.  It measures 15.4 mm in length, 9.6 mm wide and 8.3 mm thick. It weighs 4.1 g. An incomplete copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating to c.AD 110-350. See Mackreth (2011) TR 2.2d Plate 87 no.9991. The brooch is comprised of a triangular sectioned head that is marked by a central arris which spreads to form a shallow head. Integral to the top of the head is a complete circular headloop that is 6.2mm in internal diameter. Below the headloop on the reverse is the double lug for pin attachment.
