An incomplete copper alloy, probable Polden hill brooch, of Roman dating (AD 80 to AD 120).  Less than 25% of the brooch is present, consisting of the head and part of the bow only. The rest is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The head is angular, and comma shaped. A vertical groove is present as decoration on the bow. The wings are missing. A shallow depression is present at the back of the head, this would have held the spring. The foot is missing. It measures 22.8 mm in length, 7.4 mm wide and 7.2 mm thick. It weighs 2.1 g. An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch of Roman date (circa AD 75 to 175). The brooch consists of the head and the upper part of the bow. The foot, spring and pin are missing. The brooch is 'C' shape in profile. The bow tapers from a flared head to a moulded waist and then terminates in an old break that is well patinated. A complete copper alloy coin weight of Ferdinand and Isabella dating to the late Medieval period (AD 1469-1504). The weight is square in plan and was a weight for an excellente from Spain and the Low Countries. The obverse depicts two crowned busts facing each other within a circular border. The reverse depicts a hand plam-face outwards signifying the mark of Antwerp.
