An incomplete decorated lead alloy tobacco box lid knop of Post Medieval dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). The knop is broadly sub circular in plan and irregular in profile. The central knop / lid is broadly decorated as a flower. It has a central raised boss, located within a circle. A series of radiating lentoid shaped petals extend away from the circle. It is likely that these were originally coated with a surface which has since decayed. The neck below the knop of the lid becomes narrow before expanding outwards in a slanting platform with the remains of the rivet protrudin…
