A complete silver open topped or ring thimble of Post medieval dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). The thimble consists of a flat basal ring, which extends slightly (0.6 mm) away from the body of the thimble. The thimble is 8.9 mm tall. There are multiple irregularly spaced columns of three circular pits around the thimble body. The walls of the thimble are 2.0 mm think. No seam is present, suggesting it is of the seam-less type. A complete but slightly squashed silver finger guard type thimble of 19th Century AD dating. The thimble is conical with an oval section removed on one side. This oval section extends from the crown to 5.3 mm above the base, a maximum width of 11.0 mm and a maximum length of 18.9 mm. The other side of the thimble has been decorated with a panel of transverse ridges and grooves. The panel is 9.7 mm long. The grooves and ridges extend to the edge of the removed section. An incomplete silver thimble, of probable Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1700). The incomplete thimble consists of part of the inscribed band at the base of the thimble and part of the pits above. The rest is missing. The fragment of the band appears to have part of a foliate decoration present. The pits are circular in shape, and aligned both horizontally and diagonally. The reverse is undecorated. The fragment measures 8.0 mm in length, 6.1 mm wide and 0.4 mm thick. It weighs 0.1 g. The fragment is a mid to dark grey colour, with an even surface patina.

A complete cast or deep drawn silver domed thimble, with maker's mark, of Early Modern Dating (19th Century onwards). The thimble is of a domed type, similar to that known as Dutch or English type III, manufactured between 1730 and 1800 (Holmes, 1988). It consists of straight sides, and a domed top. The sides are covered by a series of circular indentations, each with a surrounding rim, positioned in horizontal rows.
