A complete copper alloy strap end of Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1400). The strap end is sub rectangular in shape. It has a split end at the top, which contains some soil and some mineralised textile. The split end has a V shaped top. Two circular sectioned copper alloy rivets are present in the spilt end. These have a diameter of 2.7 mm. The lower end is V shaped, with a central point. The front has been decorated with an engraved border beneath the rivets and transverse lines along the edge. A complete copper alloy ball ended or globular strap end, of probable Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1400). The strap end consists of a solid sub spherical ball end, with two integrally sub rectangular tabs, with a space between to accommodate the strap. The tabs widen at the top. A circular perforation (hole) is present at the top of both tabs, and has an internal diameter of 2.3 mm. It measures 30.8 mm in length, the ball end has a diameter of 15.5 mm. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of Late Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1500). The strap end has been made in three (3) parts: front and back sheet plates, riveted to a 'U' shaped spacer. The base of the spacer projects as a multiple ridged knop. The top of the front plate has been decorated with a row of four (4) triangles. The edges of the front plate are incomplete. The back plate is plain and undecorated. The strap end measures 24.92 mm in length, 8.58 mm wide and 3.77 mm thick. It weighs 1.4 g. The strap end is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
