An incomplete copper alloy strap end of possible Late Roman dating (AD 300 to AD AD 450). Over 75% of the strap end is present, with both terminals incomplete. The top has an incomplete circular rivet hole (internal diameter: 2.2 mm) before extending downwards to a rectangular collar containing a second rivet hole. This one contains soil or iron corrosion products. It has an internal diameter of 2.2 mm. The main body of the strap end is an oval shape with an engraved decoration on the front. An incomplete copper alloy strap end of probable Late Roman date, of Hawkes and Dunning's type V A (1961, fig. 23). Around 50% of the strap end is present, with the lower end missing and the top edge incomplete. The top of the strap end is split for attachment, with two incomplete rivet holes, which would have secured the strap end onto the strap. An incomplete copper alloy 'amphora-shaped' strap end of Late Roman dating (AD 300 to AD 450). Approximately 75% of the strap end is present. Half of the back plate is missing, along with the tip at the base of the strap end. The strap end is broadly sub-triangular in plan and sub-rectangular in cross section. The edges of the strap end have slightly beveled / faceted edges. The attachment part of the strap end has a slightly scalloped top edge and one circular rivet hole.
