A complete copper alloy stirrup strap mount of late early medieval dating (AD 1000 to AD 1100). The stirrup strap mount is sub square in shape, with a flat cross section. The front exhibits openwork decoration with a central animal head, with a further smaller head above and to the side. Projecting fixing loops are present at the top, one still containing an iron rivet. Lower fixing loops are located along the base, again, one still containing an iron rivet. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval stirrup, of Medieval dating (c. 14th century AD). Around 25% of the stirrup is present, consisting only of the attachment end with a trapezoidal cover plate. An incomplete copper alloy stirrup terminal, of Late Early Medieval dating (11th Century AD). The stirrup terminal is sub triangular in shape, with a hollow back. The back still contains the original lead solder, which would have been used to secure the terminal onto the iron stirrup. A projecting ledge is present at the base, which would have supposted the extermities of the foot plate of the stirrup.
