An incomplete knapped / flaked flint scraper, formed from a snapped blade / blade like flake, of probable Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic dating (6500 - 2900 BC). The scraper is sub rectangular in plan, and rectangular in cross section. It has been formed from the end of a blade / blade like flake. Controlled retouch is present along three of the sides. Conchoidal ripples are present on the dorsal (underside) surface. The scraper is a light grey / dark beige colour, with little surface patination. A tertiary debitage flake with retouch around the edges, to form an ovate scraper (tool), of Late Neolithic date (2500 BC - 1600 BC). It is sub triangular in plan, and semi-circular in cross section. It consists of a tertiary debitage flake. Along the lower edges, there are signs of regular controlled retouch, indicating reuse as a scraper (tool). The bulb of percussion has been lost, but the point is still presnet, suggesting that it was struck at an angle. Hinge fractures are present at the base, suggesting a low quality flint was used with several natural flaws in the matrix.…
