Description: An incomplete gilded silver pyramid mount of Early Medieval dating (first half of the 7th Century AD). Around 50% of the pyramid mount is present, consisting of the top (apex) and two sides (faces). The rest is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The mount is hollow and originally would have had a square base. The broken stub of a transverse bar, originally for a strap attachment, is preserved on the base.
