An incomplete copper alloy globular hair pin, of Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410). Around 25% of the hair pin is present, consisting of the head and part of the shaft. The shaft is circular in cross section and has a small horizontal ridge 4 mm below the head and is slightly angled below this point. The head consists of a flattened globular disc with rounded edges. It measures 21.35 mm in length. The head has a diameter of 12.23 and the shaft of 4.41 mm. It weighs 6.1 g. The pin head is a mid to dark green colour, with an uneven surface patina.
