Abrasion, caused by movement while within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail.

A complete copper alloy openwork strap mount of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). The mount is circular in shape. It has a raised central boss. From the central boss, six arms extend, each with a lys terminal. The ends of the arms are joined together with a curved rectangular bar, creating a circular frame. An incomplete copper-alloy heart-shaped mount of Post medieval dating (c. 1600-c. 1700). The mount is heart shaped with an extended point. It has a convex front and slightly hollowed reverse. An incomplete copper alloy belt or strap mount of Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700). Around 50% of the mount is present, consisting of the central section and one terminal. The central section is oval in shape. The remaining terminal is sub circular, and would have originally been a fleur de lys. It measures 17.6 mm in length, 9.9 mm wide and 3.4 mm thick. It weighs 1.6 g. The mount is a dark green colour, with an even surface patina. Similar belt mounts have been recorded on the PAS database, including: IOW-7B9036 and LVPL-83749D.

The mount had original two integral attachment spikes at the rear, set on the long axis and both bent downwards. Only one lug is present now, and has been folded over at ninety degrees. A possible Lion head mount of probable Post medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1800). The mount is tear drop (pointed oval) shaped. The point is missing and displays a well patinated break. The front is concave and bears mouldings that vaguely resemble a lion head. The reverse is concave. It measures 21.1 mm in length, 18.7 mm wide and 9.5 mm thick. It weighs 10.7 g. Description: An incomplete early medieval gold setting, probably once attached to a larger object. The setting is circular and consists of a sheet gold back-plate to which has been soldered a composite collar, made from a gold strip set edge-on to the plate, and surrounded by a single strand of gold beaded wire.
