An incomplete cast copper alloy clock key of Post Medieval dating (17th to 18th Centuries AD). Approximately 75% of the key is present, consisting of the handle / loop and part of the stem. The bit is missing, presumably lost in antiquity. The key has a double loop handle, the upper, smaller, loop being for suspension. The stem has a circular section and a double collar. The shank is hollow. The handle is decorated with simple engraved shapes. The key measures 54.5 mm in length, 25.1 mm wide and 8.0 mm thick. It weighs 13.4 g.
