An incomplete copper alloy harness mount or badge with heraldic detail, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1800 to AD 1900) The harness mount was originally circular in shape. A shield design is visible in the centre, depicting probably three lions or wyverns passant. An inscription is present around the edge of the mount, but this is mostly illegible. The following letters can be distinguished [ ]OF [ ]REY [ ] C V [ ]1884. Iron corrosions products are present on the reverse, obscuring the original surface. The front has been enamelled, Four lobes contain a debased fleur-de-lis, with red enamel surrounding the design. The harness hanger consists of a cross crosslet shape, with circular sectioned copper alloy rivets through the two and bottom ends. The rivets have a diameter of 2.5 mm. The sides of the cross are bevelled. The harness fitting is shield-shaped (triangular with straight top and lower sides curving to an apex). The front has been enamelled with an heraldic design. An incomplete copper alloy harness mount, of Late Post Medieval dating (c. 18th to c. 19th Century AD). It is circular in shaped, domed and stepped in profile, with moulded concentric circles and a central circular pellet. On each opposite edge of the mount, there is a circular loop (now incomplete on one side and missing on the other), horizontally flush with the edge. Incomplete copper-alloy suspension mount for a horse-harness pendant, dating from c.1200 to c. 1400. The find consists of a plate, originally square or rectangular but now much abraded. One edge has two rectangular projections (each approx 4.5 mm wide), which would have been folded around a bar to create a hinge for the pendant. The projections have broken at the point of folding.
