An incomplete enamelled copper alloy hanging bowl bird escutcheon, of Early medieval dating (AD 600 to AD 800). The escutcheon has an irregular shape. At the top, is an incomplete circular sectioned loop or hook. Two ridges are present at the end, which is an old break. Below this, a rectangular body, with sub rectangular wings projecting to either side. This has created a bird like shape.
