An incomplete lead alloy mechanism from a toy revolver of 19th Century dating (AD 1814 onwards). Only a small part of the mechanism is present, consisting of part of the cylinder. The cylinder has been decorated with scroll and ovolo designs. The reverse of the cylinder contains the top of the cylinder latch and a possible compartment. It is considered to be part of a toy gun as it is not obvious how the cylinder would rotate for each subsequent round. It measures 32.4 mm in length, 27.1 mm wide and 15.6 mm thick. It weighs 13.0 g. An incomplete copper alloy ramrod fitting, of Post medieval dating (AD 1700 to 1800). The artefact consists of the 'skirt' of the ramrod pipe and has a sharp point behind which swells the main body of the object; this then narrows slightly to form a short neck, above which is a rounded, convexed globular terminal, now broken and incomplete which would have originally been attached to the ramrod entry pipe (where the rod enters the wood).
