An incomplete gilded silver finger ring, of Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1500). The finger ring fragment consists only of the bezel. The hoop is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The bezel consists of a crescent shape. An old break is present on either side of the crescent (edges not photographed).The front of the crescent has been decorated with a grooved border, creating an inner raised crescent. The reverse is undecorated. Traces of gilding survive on the reverse. No inscription is present. It measures 7.6 mm in length, 10.9 mm wide and 1.2 mm thick. It weighs 0.5 g. …
