Thickness: 1.5 mm
Internal diameter: 17.4 mm
External diameter: 20.3 mm

A thin gold finger ring, no hall marks or other decoration.
Dimensions:
Weight: 0.626 g
Width: 0.79 mm
Diameter: 17.7 mm.
Discussion: The object is similar in style to LVPL-F848BA, WMID-E6F361, WMID-E6E061 and ESS-F1E6C3. In those cases because the finger ring has no features that would enable a secure date, there is not enough evidence to date this ring to pre-1719.
Conclusion: Therefore, owing to its similarity to other rings recorded on the PAS database and the information provided by Judy Rudoe the object cannot be dated at more than 300 years old and as such…

A complete hand made twisted gold wire, probable finger ring, of uncertain dating.
The probable finger ring has been made from two lengths of gold wire twisted together. The ends have been solded together. Due to post depositional pressure, the finger ring is no longer circular, but more ovoid (egg) shaped.
The finger ring measures 27.72 mm in length, 9.08 mm wide and 1.27 mm thick. It weighs 0.5 g.
The finger ring is a mid yellow colour, with a shiny surface.
It is probable that this artefact is a finger ring, although it is very thin for a finger ring, it may have been part …
