An incomplete gilded silver iconographic finger ring of Medieval dating (AD 1100 to AD 1500). The bezel is formed of two ridges with three faceted panels, each engraved with quatrelobed designs. The shoulders and the remains of the hoop are formed of a central ridge with two faceted panels which are engraved with a zig-zag design. The hoop is broken, approximately half of the ring surviving. A complete gold inscribed finger ring, of probable 16th to 17th Century AD dating. The finger ring was originally found flattened but has been restored by the finder to a circular shape. The exterior of the finger ring has a ridge top and bottom with an inscription between the two ridges. The inscription reads: +DAME IOHNE MYLBORNE, presumily originally belonging to the wife of John Mylborne. The finger ring has a width of 7.0 mm and the hoop is 1.5 mm thick.
