A complete copper alloy hooked tag (dress hook) of Post Medieval dating (16th Century AD). The dress hook has a hollow domed with radiating grooves, representing a scallop shell. The eye is square. Three attachment holes are present, two by the eye and one at the top of the shell. The reverse is concave. The dress hook measures 37.7 mm in length, 18.2 mm wide and 4.2 mm thick. It weighs 6.6 g. An incomplete copper alloy dress hook, of Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1600 to AD 1700). This is the hook section of such fasteners, with its rectangular blunt hook truncated around halfway through the recurve. The central area of the plate has a raised foliate design with a central quartered berry and four leaves in cross formation with four small circular berries in the angles. The clasp is ovoid (oval) in plan, with one attachment loop on the left side and two on the right (either side of the remnants of the hook).
