A complete copper alloy cock spur and leather attachment, of Late Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1800).
The cockspur is formed from a circular band which at one end flares into a collar. The collar has a flared end with five small attachment holes. Each hole has a diameter of 1.4 mm. At the other end,the top part of the band extends into the prick which is oval in section, perpendicular to the band, and tapers to a blunt point. An incomplete copper alloy cock spur, of Late Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 to AD 1800).
The cockspur is formed from a circular band which at one end flares into a collar. At the other end,the top part of the band extends into the prick which is oval in section, perpendicular to the band, and tapers to a blunt point.
It measures 26.8 mm in length, 15.0 mm wide and 11.3 mm thick. It weighs 1.7 g.
