The clasp frame has an incomplete rectangular frame with an integrally cast zoomorphic or animal head design facing along the frame. with the mouth along the outer edge. A complete sheet copper alloy plate from a clasp, of Medieval dating (AD 1350 to AD 1450). The find consists of a folded sheet of copper alloy metal, with five surviving copper alloy rivets. The clasp plate is sub rectangular in plan, and irregular in cross section. The left hand exhibits a fold in the metal, which would have originally gone round the strap bar of the clasp. No pin slot is present, therefore indicating that this was a plate for a strap clasp as opposed to a buckle. No signs of decoration on are present on the front of the plate.
