A complete cast copper alloy button dating from the Post Medieval to Modern periods, circa AD1600-1800. The button head is circular in plan view and trapezoidal in section. The face of the button is plain with surface scratches. The circumference of the head is bevelled. The reverse is plain with an intetrally cast suspension loop at the centre. The suspencsion loop is circular. Diameter: 13.45mm. The thickness of the button head is 1.14mm which increases to 6.60mm when including the suspension loop. Weight: 1.3g.

A raised central pellet is present, with the rest of the design radiating from that. Eight diagonal rays extend from the centre, separating the button into eight segments.
