An incomplete gilded copper alloy probable box or furniture mount, of Medieval dating (12th to 13th Century AD) The artefact is irregular in shape. It consists of a flat rectangular bar, with incomplete circular holes at either end. In the centre of the bar, a rectangular neck extends up into an irregular scallop or pelta shaped terminal. All sides apart from the base have been gilded. It measures 59.1 mm in length, 5.4 mm wide and 25.6 mm thick. The circular holes have an internal diameter of 3.0 mm. It weighs 9.7 g. A complete copper alloy probable casket or box mount or lock hasp, of probable Medieval to Post medieval dating (AD 1300 to AD 1600). The mount is sub rectangular in plan, with two rectangular projections at one end, another rectangular projection at the other, and a sub circular loop at the mid point on one of the long sides. It is rectangular in section. Two vertical ridges are present along the length of the mount, splitting it into thirds. The rectangular projections on either end are the remnants of a hinge. A complete cast copper alloy, probable corner brace or staple, probably from a box, of probable Medieval dating (13th to 17th Centuries AD). The brace is L shaped in plan. The long edge has a rectangular section and has a blunt, rounded terminal. The short edge has a circular section, and has a sharp point. The brace is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina. It measures 25.59mm in length, 19.65mm wide and 4.65mm thick. It weighs 2.7 grams. An incomplete cast copper-alloy lid for a set of nested cup weights, of Modern dating (18th to 19th Centuries AD). The underside of the lid consists of a circular base, with a raised rectangular rim around the edge. A double concentric circle has been incised into the base, with two smaller complete circles located at the top and bottom. Two circular perforations (internal diameter 1.58mm) are located towards the far edge, on the concentric circles.
