A complete gold finger ring, of Late Roman dating (Later 2nd to 3rd Centuries AD).
The bezel is sub oval, with no trace of an intaglio setting. The shoulders of the ring are triangular or shield shaped, with a horizontal groove underneath, separating the shoulder from the hoop. The hoop has a rectangular cross section. The internal surface is plain.
It measures 14.2 mm in length, 20.4 mm wide and 7.6 mm thick. The hoop is 1.9 mm thick. The bezel measures 13.1 mm in length and 7.6 mm wide. The internal diameter measures 15.1 mm. It weighs 2.7 g.
