An incomplete barbed and tanged flint arrowhead of Early Bronze Age dating (c. 2500 BC to c. 1500 BC).
Approximately 95% of the arrowhead is present, with one barb being incomplete.
The arrowhead has been knapped from a mottled mid grey coloured piece of flint. It is broadly sub-triangular in plan and lentoid in cross section. The tang is a sub square shape and the surviving barb is sub triangular in plan. The arrowhead has been knapped using both direct and indirect percussion techniques. Both long sides / edges of the arrowhead have been finely retouched to create sharp edges. …
