A fragment of a copper alloy object, probably part of an axehead of Bronze Age date (c. 2500-800 BC). The fragment is likely of the blade end of the axehead with a transverse break across the body. The surviving section of the blade is crescent shaped and the object is triangular in profile, narrowing evenly from 4.89mm thick at the break to 0.96mm thick just before the edge of the blade. An incomplete, copper alloy chain link of likely Post Medieval to Modern date (c. AD 1620-1900). The object is flat and has a largely drop shaped body in plan, with an incomplete, sub-oval suspension loop at the top. The object is likely from a Gunter's Chain, a piece of land surveying equipment developed in AD 1620 that measured 100 links/66-foot/20.1m. An incomplete knapped / struck flint blade probably dating to the late Mesolithic period, circa 7000-3500 BC. The blade is broadly triangular in plan and the section is trapezoidal. No cortex is present indicating that this is a tertiary blade. The flint is a slightly mottled light - mid brown colour and is translucent. Two central longitudinal ridges are present on the dorsal side, with some evidence of retouching.Concoidal ripples are present on the ventral surface. Length: 32.05mm. Width: 14.90mm. A complete cast copper alloy double loop oval buckle frame, of late Medieval dating (c.1400 to 1600 AD). The buckle frame consists of a double looped oval buckle frame, with bevelled edges to the frame. The pin and strap plate are not present. The edges of the buckle frame are raised higher than the central bar. The buckle is a mid dark green to brown, with an uneven surface patina. Abrasion has resulted in the loss of surface detail and patina from the edges and flat surfaces. The buckle frame measures 23.77mm in length, 19.70mm wide and 2.32mm thick. It weighs 2.3 grams. …
