An incomplete cast copper alloy padlock of Post Medieval date. The padlock is circular in plan and rectangular in section with two protruding lugs at the top which would have originally taken the bar, which is now missing. Iron corrosion around the lugs would suggest that the bar was originally made from iron. A rectangular plate is present, both on the front and the back, positioned longituditionally in the centre. An irregular primary waste flake / debitage of probable Neolithic date (3500 - 2100 BC). This piece of flint has been deliberately removed from the outer face of a flint nodule to prepare it for further work and tool production. Conchoidal ripples are present on the dorsal (reverse) side. There are several flint removal scars that are mostly likely the result of plough roll.
