A silver half groat of Henry VII, minted in Canterbury, (jointly with Archbishop Morton?) between 1486-1500. There is no M in the centre of the reverse and it has been been clipped. The initial mark is a Tun. It has a double arched crown. No stops are legible so it can not be determined whether it is Class IIIa/IIIb or IIIc. It is similar to North type 1712 (volume 2, page 102).
Obverse: Double arched crowned head.

A medieval silver coin of Edward II (1307-27), probably of class 10cf3 (1307-9), minted at Canterbury.
The coin is mostly complete, but has been altered in two ways. The coin has been pierced through the top of the obverse above the crown (equating to the base of the long cross of the reverse), possibly in order that the coin could be suspended. In addition, there are small notches seemingly cut from the sides in three places. These are reguarly spaced at approximately 2 o'clock, 5 o'clock, and 8 o'clock (on the obverse).
