A cast copper alloy end looped cosmetic mortar, typically dating from the Late Iron Age to the Early Roman period (1st to 2nd Centuries AD).
The mortar has a plain, relatively shallowed bowed profile, with the suspension loop situated at one end. The loop is broken, but appears to fold back on itself, and becomes attached to the base of the mortar. The opposing end of the mortar is plain, without any form of decoration. The mortar itself has a shallow U shaped cross section. In plan, it is broadly ellipitical in shape. The interior (grinding surface) is smooth.

A cast copper alloy nail cleaner with folded top, of Roman date (1st to 4th Centuries AD).
A complete, but slightly bent, cast copper alloy cleaner, similar to Crummy's type 1a (Crummy, 1983, p57). It consists of a narrow plain, straight-sided strip of copper alloy, with a bifurcated tip and a wrapped suspension loop. Traces of gilding survive towards the top of the nail cleaner.

Incomplete cast copper alloy purse bar (Ward-Perkins Class A2) of late Medieval or early Post-Medieval date (1475 - 1550).
The purse bar is approximately 20% complete and consists of a fragment of the arm and the terminal. The arm is sub-rectangular in both plan and cross section with an domed cylinder on the end. A complete cast lead alloy bi-convex decorated spindle whorl of probable Medieval dating (1300 to 1650 AD).
The spindle whorl is sub-circular in plan. The central hole is sub oval in shape and has been cast slightly off centre. The diameter of the hole measures 5.22mm.
The upper face exhibits a series of radiating diagonal lines, from the central hole outwards to the edge of the whorl. The weight is sub-cylindrical, with a central swelling. A single cast sub oval shaped hole is set off centre with an internal of diameter 5.03 mm.
It measures 23.86mm length and 12.81mm diameter. It weighs 17.9 grams.
It is a dark grey colour, with an even patina across the surface. It has suffered a minor degree of abrasion, with plough roll scars being present on the surface.

The weight is spherical in shape. The central hole is broadly circular and is positioned centrally. The internal diameter measures 6.36mm. There is the remnants of the casting spike as a small raised knop on one side.

A complete Post Medieval gunflint with lead casing from a flintlock gun.
The flint is square in plan and is enclosed on both faces and one side by a sub-rectangular folded lead holder. The three visible edges of the flint show signs of working, both controlled and uncontrolled fractures, the other edge is obscured. The edges of the lead are rounded and there is a small hole present in the folded side of the lead holder. This hole was presumably part of the mounting mechanism. A hairline crack is present along the fold.

Incomplete and broken cast copper alloy purse bar of probable late Medieval or early Post-Medieval date (1450 - 1550). The purse bar is in two pieces, broken at the suspension loop.
The two arms of the purse bar are sub-rectangular in plan and oval in cross section, one arm is complete, the other is broken, just before the terminal. The stem of the bar narrows at each end, around this an oval shaped rove (washer) is fitted which acts as a terminal. A space is left between the bar and the rove. A complete cast, and possibly soldered, lead powder flask nozzle (or funnel) of Seventeenth century dating (AD 1600 - AD 1700). The nozzle has suffered damage and is now slightly squashed from its original shape.

The weight is sub-circular in plan and sub-triangular shaped (conical) in cross section. The exterior surface is uneven and abraded; there is no evidence of cast or applied decoration. An irregular cast hole is present at the top of the weight. The ends of an iron rod are present half way down the sides, this would have presumably aided suspension. One (1) bodysherd of a wheelthrown ceramic vessel, of Medieval dating (13th to 14th Centuries AD).
The sherd is 12.09mm thick and weighs 8.8 grams. It is 36.67mm wide and 23.85mm long.
The sherd has an oxidised fabric, with frequent small charcoal like inclusions. Traces of a green glaze are present on the exterior of the sherd. The fabric and the glazing is indicative of a local (unsourced) Medieval jug fabric, probably from the Worcestershire area. Looking at the profile of the sherd, it is possible that it is part of the base of a jug type vessel.
