An incomplete cast copper alloy padlock of Post Medieval date. The padlock is circular in plan and rectangular in section with two protruding lugs at the top which would have originally taken the bar, which is now missing. Iron corrosion around the lugs would suggest that the bar was originally made from iron. A rectangular plate is present, both on the front and the back, positioned longituditionally in the centre. A bodysherd/fragment of a wheelthrown salt glazed ceramic vessel. The sherd is 8.25mm thick and weighs 34.8g. It is 68.02mm long and 45.62mm wide. The internal diameter of the sherd is 7cm wide. The sherd consists of a neck fragment, most likely from a jug, in a light grey stoneware fabric. The exterior surface is a dark brown mottled colour with a salt glaze (orange peel glaze) with either an embossed or applied face decoration.
