An incomplete enamelled copper alloy button and loop fastener, of Roman Wild 1970, Type VIa dating (2nd Century AD).
Less than 50% of the button and loop fastener is present, consisting of the head of the button and loop fastener. The loop and part of the shank are missing. Over 75% of the strap end is present, with both terminals incomplete. The top has an incomplete circular rivet hole (internal diameter: 2.2 mm) before extending downwards to a rectangular collar containing a second rivet hole. Around 50% of the brooch is present, consisting of the bow, and the wings. The pin, foot and catchplate are missing, presumed lost in antiquity.
The wings are cylindrical in shape, enclosing an axis bar. The pin is hinged. Iron corrosion products are present, indicating that the axis bar was made from iron. An incomplete copper alloy possible steelyard of probable Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410).
The possible steelyard has a square shank. One end has a double collar terminal, with central circular knop. The upper collar has been decorated with oblique slashes to create a ropelike decoration. The other end exhibits a patinated break. The square shank has several horizontal grooves across the width.
It measures 63.2 mm in length, 4.6 mm wide and 4.2 mm thick. The head is 6.5 mm tall, with a maximum diameter of 8.5 mm. It weighs 9.1 g.

An incomplete lead alloy possible model for a trumpet style brooch, dating from 75 to 175 AD.
Around 25% of the possible model is present, consisting of the head. The head is conical and tapers to a point. The base is recessed with a depression at the centre.
It measures 15.4 mm in length, 9.6 mm wide and 8.3 mm thick. It weighs 4.1 g.
