A complete copper-alloy mount, of Early Post Medieval date (16th to 17th centuries AD). The mount is sub-rectangular in plan, and the plate is D-shaped in cross-section. The domed front is decorated with two sub-oval ends, tapering in towards the centre, with a circle located centrally, with a rectangular ridge to either side. The front retains traces of gilding. The rest of the frame is plain and undecorated. The back of the mount has two rectangular spikes, bent at right angles to form a rectangular shape.
