An incomplete copper alloy finger ring of uncertain dating but probably Medieval to Post Medieval (AD 1400 to AD 1800). Around 50% of the finger ring is present, consisting of the bezel and part of the shoulders. The rest of the hoop is missing. The hoop had a rectangular cross section. The bezel is circular and flat with traces of a design visible. Faint details suggest a central quatrefoil or four petalled flower, with pointed oval petals on the diagonal, creating a sub circular border. An incomplete copper alloy possible snake style finger ring, of possible Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410). The possible finger ring is shallowly plano-convex and terminates with a worn, snake head as seen from above. The features are worn, but the overall appearance is clearly Roman in style and finds many parallels in the literature. The shank tapers to the break; it is now bent over.
