A complete copper alloy decorated finger ring, of Post Medieval dating (AD1700 to AD 1800). The finger ring consists of a flat hoop, with moulded external decoration. The decoration is unclear but consists of a repeating design of floral decoration. The design appears to repeat several times. The internal surface is undecorated apart from a maker's mark of XL in a square cartouche. The finger ring has an external diameter of 20.4 mm and an internal diameter of 16.9 mm. Around 50% of the finger ring is present, consisting of the bezel and part of the shoulders. The rest of the hoop is missing. The hoop had a rectangular cross section.
