An incomplete copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of Roman date, circa (AD 80 - 120).
The brooch consists of the head, wings, upper part of bow, rearward facing hook and spring. The pin, lower bow, foot and catchplate are missing.
The bow head is hump-like, and slightly angular (comma shaped) in profile. The rearward facing hook is present on the head and is keeping some of the spring in place. A complete circular copper alloy weight or large token, of probable Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 410).
The weight is circular in shape, with a flat cross section. The front has been decorated with a forward facing head, with tendrils or snakes extending from the top of the head, and curving round the face. Similar to that of a Medusa style face with snakes as hair. The face is triangular in shape, with a horizontal slit mouth, and circular eyes. The reverse is flat and undecorated.

A complete copper alloy toggle clasp of Early Post Medieval dating, circa AD 1500 to AD 1700.
The plate consists of an open work and moulded design of one central circular perforation. The top horizontal edge of the object is decorated with a series of transverse lines, giving a rope like effect. Two iron rivets which are heavily corroded, but still in place are located above and below the open work design. The longer edges of the plate are not straight but almost reflect a foliage design. The printing plate is rectangular and flat. All edges are patinated, and original. All text is reversed. The front has a title, positioned centrally. The rest of the text is in four paragraphs and justified. The font appears to be similar to Times New Roman. The reverse is undecorated with four patches of iron corrosion products visible.

The mount is of the bar type and consists of a domed central oval, with two projecting lugs. The projecting lugs are rectangular in shape, with a central perforation. The holes are recessed on the rear of the mount. An incomplete circular section copper alloy rivet is present in both of the lugs. The knop is broadly sub circular in plan and irregular in profile. The central knop / lid is broadly decorated as a flower. It has a central raised boss, located within a circle. Less than 25% of the probable badge is present. It consists of a tapering probably hollow cone in the centre, with several attachment sprues extending off it. The base terminates in a large crescentic base.
It measures 36.0 mm in length, a maximum width of 16.2 mm and a maximum thickness of 6.0 mm. It weighs 9.4 g.

An incomplete enamelled copper alloy pelta plate brooch of Roman dating (2nd Century AD).
Less than 50% of the brooch is present, consisting of the lower curve of the plate. The surviving part of the brooch is crescent shaped with patinated breaks along the upper edges and on the terminals.
