An incomplete white metal alloy artefact, of uncertain dating, but possibly Late Medieval in dating (AD 1400 to AD 1700). The artefact has a globular base which then extends upwards into a circular socket. Mineralised remains of plant material, probably wood are present in the socket. Multiple small V shaped knife cuts are present over the base but do not appear to form an organised pattern. XRF analysis of the surface has shown that the artefact is predominately made from Lead (Pb) and Tin (Sn) with traces of Iron (Fe), Antimony (Sb) and Copper (Cu). The artefact measures 34…
