An incomplete white metal alloy artefact, of uncertain dating, but possibly Late Medieval in dating (AD 1400 to AD 1700). The artefact has a globular base which then extends upwards into a circular socket. Mineralised remains of plant material, probably wood are present in the socket. Multiple small V shaped knife cuts are present over the base but do not appear to form an organised pattern. XRF analysis of the surface has shown that the artefact is predominately made from Lead (Pb) and Tin (Sn) with traces of Iron (Fe), Antimony (Sb) and Copper (Cu). The artefact measures 34.2 mm t…

A complete copper alloy bolster from a scale tang knife, of Medieval to Post Medieval dating (AD 1200 to AD 1600). The knife bolster is sub triangular in shape, with a rectangular cross section. The top of the end cap has a rectangular slot cut into it, with slightly diagonal lines.The base has a sub rectangular central hole (9.2 mm by 4.6 mm). No decoration is present on any side. An incomplete copper alloy single-looped buckle dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1350-1400). The buckle consists of a single-loop sub-rectangular frame with expanded outer edges. The two vertical bars are offset; the outermost retains a sheet metal roller, whilst the innermost bar is recessed for the strap plate. The pin is now missing. A complete copper alloy single loop buckle frame, of Medieval dating (AD1250 to AD 1500). Only the buckle frame is present, the pin is missing. The buckle has a sub oval frame, with an expanded outside edge. The strap bar is narrowed. The buckle measures 19.8 mm in length, 31.6 mm wide and 2.0 mm thick. It weighs 2.3 g. The buckle is a mid green colour, with an even surface patina. Abrasion, caused by movement whilst within the plough soil, has resulted in a loss of some of the original surface detail. A similar buckle frame has been recorded on the PAS database as WMID-716911.

An incomplete copper alloy buckle or brooch pin, from an annular buckle or brooch, of Medieval dating (AD 1150 to AD 1400). Around 95% of the buckle or brooch pin is present, with the loop incomplete. The pin is rectangular in shape and cross section. It tapers to a blunt point. One ridge is present at the junction between the loop and the pin shaft. The loop would have originally been circular in shape. The buckle or brooch pin measures 45.1 mm in length, 4.0 mm wide and is 12.0 mm thick. It weighs 4.7 g. The buckle or brooch pin is a dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
