Around 50% of the plate is present, consisting an incomplete folded sheet of copper alloy metal. Neither top or bottom plate are complete, the only original edge is the fold. The base of the chape has concave sides before terminating in another probable hinge. A maker's mark is present beneath the sharp point on the obverse. It measures 33.3 mm in length, 15.3 mm wide and 3.9 mm thick. It weighs 3.3 g. The chape is a mid to dark green colour, with an even surface patina. The pin and strap plate are not present. V shaped pin rests are present on either side, located at the mid point on the internal edge of the oval frame, opposite the central bar. The back is flat.
