An incomplete copper alloy clasp strap plate of the Medieval period, dating from c. AD 1350 - c. AD 1400. Around 50% of the plate is present, consisting of the top plate. The rest is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The strap plate consists of a piece of sheet copper alloy metal folded around the strap bar. The edges have been recessed for the frame. A complete sheet copper alloy plate from a clasp, of Medieval dating (AD 1350 to AD 1450). The find consists of a folded sheet of copper alloy metal, with five surviving copper alloy rivets. The clasp plate is sub rectangular in plan, and irregular in cross section. The left hand exhibits a fold in the metal, which would have originally gone round the strap bar of the clasp. No pin slot is present, therefore indicating that this was a plate for a strap clasp as opposed to a buckle. No signs of decoration on are present on the front of the plate. An incomplete stamped or machine pressed copper alloy clog or shoe clasp fastener, of Post Medieval to Modern dating (c. AD 1790 to c. AD 1920). The clasp is sub-rectangular in plan with lobed semicircular protrusions at one end. At this end is an integral, but broken, 'anchor'-shaped hook on the reverse (back) surface. At the opposite end there is a small central hook in the form of a rectangle with rounded corners. This has been pressed such that it is flush to the clasp.
