An incomplete copper alloy rim fragment from a copper alloy probable posnet or cauldron of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1400 -AD 1700).
The rim fragment is sub triangular in shape, with a sub rectangular cross section. Copper corrosion products obscure some of the interior surface, but patches of a smooth and polished surface are present. The rim type consists of a rounded lip. The exterior surface is unpolished and shows signs of finishing/filing. Sooting is present on the exterior of the fragment. This section is most likely from the out turned rim of a cauldro…

An incomplete lead or lead alloy, possible vat or tank, of uncertain dating but possibly Early Medieval (AD 750 to AD 1000).
Around 50% of the vat or tank is present. None of the sides are complete. The base is incomplete with several holes and repair marks. The base now has a ripple effect, due to being found on a cobbled stream bed. No decoration appears to be present on either side. The rim was folded but now not attached to the main body of the tank.
It has a diameter of 110cm (with a max length of 48 cm, and a max width of 28cm). The sides are 1.9 mm thick. None of the side…
