Approximately 25% of the brooch is present, with the bow, foot and catch plate present. The rest is missing, presumed lost in antiquity.
The bow of the brooch is D shaped in cross section. At the top of the bow fragment is an arcanthus style moulding, with a central collar and three equally spaced rectangular knops above and below. An incomplete copper alloy Headstud style brooch, of Roman dating (AD 75 - AD 200).
Approximately 95% of the brooch is present consisting of the bow, partial headloop, wings and foot. The pin and catch plate are missing.
In plan, the brooch is almost T-shaped, and rectangular in cross section. The bow head is angular (comma shaped) in profile. The headloop at the top of the brooch is incomplete, and would have originally been circular in nature. No headstud is present on the bow. An incomplete copper alloy, probable trumpet brooch, of Roman dating (AD 75 to AD 175).
Around 25% of the brooch is present, consisting of the foot knop only. The rest of the brooch is missing, presumed lost in antiquity.
The foot knop consists of an arcanthus style moulding with a central horizontal collar, with three regularly spaced rectangular knops above and below. Above the foot knop, are two horizontal grooves as decoration. On the reverse, the base of the catch plate is present. No break is present at the base of the foot knop.

An incomplete copper alloy finger ring, of Late Roman dating (Later 2nd to 3rd Centuries AD).
Around 50% of the finger ring is present, consisting of the bezel and part of the hoop. The intaglio is missing, presumed lost in antiquity.
The bezel is rectangular, with an oval intaglio setting positioned centrally. Traces of a white paste or possible solder are still present within the setting. A complete enamelled copper alloy button and loop fastener, of Early Roman dating (AD 50 to AD 150).
The button and loop fastener has a tear drop shaped head, with a raised circular boss in the widest section. This appears to have enamel on originally and some traces of white (?) remain but the pattern is unclear.

One rimsherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel, of Early Roman dating (1st to 3rd Centuries AD)
The sherd consists of a fragment of a Roman ceramic type, known as Samian ware. Numerous white flecks are present as inclusions in the fabric, suggesting that the production centre was South Gaulish in origin, possibly La Graufesenque. The profile of the rimsherd is consistent with a vessel type known as Dragendorff 27 (Webster, 1996, 38), which equates to a small cup with a double curved wall and a beaded rim. The sherds vary in thickness from 5.63mm to 7.04mm. In total they weigh 10.4 grams.
The sherds have a pale grey / light orange fabric. Subtle differences are present in the fabric types between sherds, which would indicate different sources of production. The mount is square in plan, with a raised central ridge on the front. Symmetrical decoration is present on either side of this ridge, consisting of two pointed oval / petals joined together at the circular bulbous end, with the points angled towards the corners. Approximately 25% of the brooch is present, consisting only of the head and hinge of the brooch. The head is sub triangular in plan and roughly D shaped in cross section. The head is rectangular at the top, tapering into a narrow bow. The edges are rounded. The back of the brooch displays a hinge, with axis bar still present between the two sides.
